If you are interested in getting involved with any of our mission partners, please email Pastor Ken at pastorken@heritagefc.net

If you feel led to partner financially with any of our missionaries, we have an option on our GIVING page that allows you to donate directly to the families that HFC supports.

International Missionaries:

The Vanderkooi’s

Mark and Diane Vanderkooi, both Bible translators by training, work among the Kwong people in a remote village in Chad, Africa. They have been there since 1991 and are the only missionaries working with the Kwong. The Kwong people number around 40,000 and the church has only been established among them since the 1980’s.  Mark and Diane have made it their goal to equip the Kwong church so that it has the wherewithal to  endure for generations to come. They are currently near completion of the New Testament in the Kwong language. Mark and Diane working together with Kwong believers have also started an FM radio station (since most people can’t read), and Bible school to train Kwong pastors. The also supervise an evangelical clinic staffed by Chadian nurses, and Diane runs a malnourished children’s program through the clinic. They have one daughter, Sylvie, who they adopted from the Kwong people.

The Schmidt's

The Schmidt Family family moved to Guatemala in 2009 and began serving the people of Buena Vista (BV).  Through our experiences with friends and families in this village, our eyes were opened to the many cycles of poverty that exist.  In 2011, God called us to build DeepStream’s Educational Center here in the middle of BV, leading to what we refer to as a “Gospel Centered, Wholistic Educational Center.

DeepStream’s vision includes…

Family ministering to family in order to bring healing, hope and unity.

Advocating for the poor, forgotten, weak and lost – to usher in God’s Redemptive Story in their lives.

Standing firm on God’s Truths and against cultural teachings in contrast with these Truths.

Taking the Gospel of Grace in our hearts and sharing it with whomever we interact.

Our vision is carried out in the village of Buena Vista as we daily seek to live on mission in the following ways…

Spiritually – walking alongside our neighbors, speaking and living the Truth, in order to lead them into a closer walk with Jesus Christ.

Physically – providing spaces and resources where education and health can be taught and modeled to our community.

Mentally – challenging our community to have a healthier mindset towards education, health, hygiene and the family unit.

Socially – to break the unacceptable social norms that exist in Buena Vista through spiritual, physical and mental health.

We trust God to work in us as we partner with our Guatemalan friends and team,  to break the unhealthy cycles of poverty in our beautiful village.

LOVE ALL… WORSHIP ONE.
