Our History

Heritage Fellowship Church began in 1993 with a Bible study that met every Thursday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howell. This small Bible study grew to 38 people, and soon, they began to feel the Lord’s calling to start a church. HFC had its first Sunday service on January 2, 1994, with 88 people in attendance. Meeting in Rockway School, just a few miles east of the current building, Heritage Fellowship Church was first pastored by Dave Drullinger, a professor at Cedarville University.

After Pastor Drullinger, Alan Monroe was the interim pastor for six months until the arrival of Steve Janssen. Steve Janssen, who graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary, arrived at the church in the summer of 1994 and served as the pastor until 1998.

In 1997, HFC moved out of the school they had been meeting in and into their new building.

Pastor Heldreth began as Senior Pastor in June of 1999. He is a graduate of Cedarville University and Dallas Theological Seminary. Pastor Heldreth retired in the Spring of 2017.

That same year, HFC’s current Lead Pastor, Ken Winter, was called to HFC. Pastor Ken has been in full-time ministry since 2002, leading youth ministries in the Pocono Mountains of PA and in Xenia, OH. He has a passion to reach the lost with the liberating power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor Ken is a graduate of Cedarville University and has a Masters degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY.
