Membership at Heritage Fellowship Church
At HFC, we believe that membership is an expression of our commitment to one another and to the vision and to the values of the church. Membership is about joining a family that is united in our beliefs and purpose to KNOW the gospel, GROW in grace and GO with the gospel into the world.
Why Membership is Important
1. A commitment to a local church body is biblical and was the normal practice of the early, New Testament church.
2. Church membership provides us with a place to use our spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12, Ephesians 4), it gives us a spiritual community to support our growth as Christ followers (Acts 2:42-47, Ephesians 5:21, Hebrews 10:24-25), it places us under spiritual protection of church leaders (Hebrews 13:17, Acts 20:28), and it communicates to other church members that we are committed to one another.
